Guidance for the governing body on the implications of using AI — so accountability for your AI sits where it belongs: at the top.
Governance of AI for the board
What it is
ISO/IEC 38507 provides guidance for members of an organisation’s governing body — its board or equivalent — on the governance implications of using AI. It helps directors understand and fulfil their responsibilities so that AI use stays aligned with the organisation’s obligations and values.
Why it matters for private AI
Deploying AI on sensitive data is a board-level decision, not just a technical one. Directors need assurance that AI is being used lawfully, ethically and in line with the organisation’s strategy and risk appetite — and they need the information to exercise real oversight.
ISO/IEC 38507 shapes how we surface that information. Our private AI solution is built to give governing bodies visibility and accountability, not a black box they are asked to trust.
